THE CAID PHILOSOPHY:

The Clark Academy of Irish Dance offers recreational and competitive lessons for ages 4 and up. Our studio believes in helping young people build competence, strength, fitness, and multiple life skills that carry over into real life. We believe in promoting smart work, hard work, encouraging critique, teamwork, kindness, and fun. We also believe that many kids thrive when experiencing a variety of activities.

We strive to provide an atmosphere and schedule that will accommodate busy kiddos who wish to Irish Dance while also participating in other activities that they love. We also work hard to accommodate those who want to make Irish Dance their number one priority. We do what we love, and we love what we do, but also LOVE watching our dancers do all of the things in which THEY love, choosing to Irish Dance more, if or when it feels right.

We are process-oriented. While many of our dancers have celebrated competitive wins, true wins and core memories are formed via the bonds and experiences that transpire along the journey. We believe in engaging with our dancers in order to create individualized goals and strategies aligned with their personal goals and capacity. We believe strongly in helping dancers learn how to thrive via the mechanism of Irish Dance, and are fueled by the opportunity to share our knowledge and and joy with each person who walks through our doors. As a mom, former multi-sport athlete, and studio owner of 16 years +, all of this comes straight from the heart AND directly from real life experience.
